Cesar Borja, a retired NYPD officer, died from pulmonary fibrosis his family believes was caused working long hours near Ground Zero after the 9/11 attacks. Ceasar Borja, the eldest son, helped raise national awareness ultimately gaining President Bush's attention to grant $20 million toward first responders with post 9/11 health conditions.
