Her passion is in storytelling with both video and still photography. After more than a decade on staff at the NY Daily News she has covered a vast array of assignments focusing on features, general assignment, portraiture and fashion. 

Her video work earned a NY Emmy award and has also been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, Pictures of the Year International, Newswomen's Club of NY, New York Press Photographers Association, Deadline Club and NY Press Club. 

In her personal photo series "Young Love," on Instagram, she finds candid moments between couples in NYC. Whether it is on the sidewalk, the subway platform, or a park bench, she embraces the romance of the city she adores. The intimate work has been featured in several publications and you can read all about it here, here, here, here, and here. 

Aside from her camera, the focus of her life is her family. Julia lives in Brooklyn with her two Tommys, her husband and her little boy, and sweet baby girl Zoe.
